Absolutely beautiful 1915 antique National Cash Register # 452-E-L model. Brass register on quarter-sawn oak base. Keys and crank work well to open drawer. 5 rows of keys. 6 clerk keys (A, B, D, E, H & K) with adjacent brass slot for clerk's names. 3 keys for different transactions (charge, paid out & on account). All other transactions read as cash. Some wear to a few covers over keys. Transactions can be made from 1 cent to $99.99. Rollers appear to be intact for paper rolls. Crank handle side appears to have electrical cord for use of electric operation. We have been the owner since the 1970's, but have never added paper or hooked up electricity. We bought the register for its beautiful appearance, not for its use. It has always attracted a lot of attention and wonderful comments. Paper label underneath drawer is torn, but torn half is preserved in a baggie. Drawer compartments most commonly used show the most wear. Lower corner of one front glass is chipped. Marble piece has two cracks as shown in photos. Sorry, no unlocking keys - keys, marble ledges, instructions and other information can be found on various cash register internet sites. Other than normal age wear, the register is a beautiful show piece.
22.5 inches tall x 25.5 inches wide without crank x 17 inches deep. $1500.00
