Which Business Disciplines Do You Teach?
- Accounting: Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced
- Economics: Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced
- Finance: Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced
- All Other Business Subjects (At Various Levels): On A Case-By-Case Basis
Can You Do My Homework Assignments/Projects & Take Classes For Me?
No, I cannot. My focus is on helping students learn, not cheat. Therefore, I do not do assignments or projects for students, nor do I take their classes for them. What I will do is teach you everything you need to know to complete your assignments, projects, and classes. Furthermore, I can guarantee that you will do better with me than without me, and the knowledge I provide you will be useful in your current class, future classes, and on-the-job in the real world.
How Long Are The Tutoring Appointments & What Are Your Available Tutoring Hours?
All tutoring sessions are 2 hours in length. Please choose from the following afternoon/evening appointments:
Each day of the week, including weekends: 3:30-5:30, 6:00-8:00, and 8:00-10 p.m. (subject to future adjustment).
How Much Do You Charge?
The rate I charge depends on the number of students with whom I work. My fee structure for business tutoring/training is as follows (subject to future adjustment):
- 1 Student, $40 per hour
- 2 Students, $30 per student per hour
- 3 Students, $25 per student per hour
- 4 Students, $22.50 per student per hour
- 5 or More Students, $20 per student per hour
Where Do You Do The Tutoring?
Face-to-face tutoring is done on the campus of San Diego State University or at a location of your choosing (if you agree to pay for travel time and parking fees, if any). Online tutoring is done via Skype.
What Are The Tutoring Rules?
Please understand, as a business professional, I take my work seriously and, therefore, ask those I work with to adhere to the following basic codes of conduct:
Registration Policy
Please complete the brief information form/contractual agreement I send to you. Once I receive it, I can schedule the tutoring appointments with you.
Payment Policy
For face-to-face tutoring, please pay me in full, in cash at the time I work with you; I do not accept checks or credit cards. If I must travel to you, a fully refundable, one-session retainer is required (similar to a rental deposit) to ensure adherence to the rules. For online tutoring, I request payment in advance using PayPal.
Cancellation Policy
Please contact me by telephone at (619) 756-3134 AND by e-mail at adamthetutor@yahoo.com with MORE THAN 24 hours notice if you ever need to cancel an appointment for any reason. If you cancel an appointment with anything less than 24 hours notice, you accept responsibility for paying for the appointment.
Appointment Policy
Please keep the appointments you make. I limit the number of cancellations per semester to a maximum of 3 per student because repeated cancellations wreak havoc on my schedule. If you cancel appointments excessively, you accept responsibility for paying for each appointment cancelled in excess of 3 per semester.
The only exception is if you cancel all of your remaining appointments for some reason (e.g., dropping the class, withdrawing from school temporarily, coping with an unexpected emergency, etc.) In this case, I will charge you for only 1 tutoring session for cancelling all of the remaining appointments.
Responsibility Policy
Please write down the date, time, and location of our appointment(s). (I will provide you with directions, if necessary.) If you miss an appointment for any reason, you accept responsibility for paying for the appointment. (I will, however, wait for up to 30 minutes just in case you are running late.)
What Are Your Qualifications?
I have been successfully tutoring business students for over a decade and have completed undergraduate and graduate business degrees (finance emphasis). I graduated with the highest possible honors (summa cum laude) from both my undergraduate and graduate business programs, and earned an "A" in every business course I teach. As a former adjunct faculty professor, and a current professional business tutor, I can provide you with references from former clients and academic peers (professors) upon request.
If you're interested in the business tutoring, please contact me at (619) 756-3134 or adamthetutor@yahoo.com and I will send the required information form/contractual agreement to you. Please complete it and return it to me by e-mail. Feel free to call or e-mail me anytime (24 hours a day).
