Kettner Arts is an art studio and gallery located in the Little Italy section of downtown San Diego. The space is home to four distinctive San Diego artists who create, market, exhibit and sell their work from here. Little Italy is home of San Diego's ArtWalk each April, and the Kettner Nights art walk on the second Friday evening each month. Kettner Arts is conveniently located one block west of Blick Art Supply.
Kettner Arts is looking for two more people to fill it's roster of four established, committed artists. We are breaking the mold of conventional gallery structure, not unlike how independent musicians challenged the record companies. Instead of the typical 50% sales commission plus expenses paid to a gallery willing to accept your work, this model offers the artist more control as a home base for their art. In exchange for membership, you have access to space to create your art and a high profile, storefront gallery in a great neighborhood, and to market and sell it from there. If you are seeking the conventional, commission based gallery model, please do not respond.
