**Job Details:**
**Job Summary:** The Service Solutions Director is responsible for managing and leading the Services Solutions group and the complete system service lifecycle including market research, business development, system service definition, solution business case development, customer proposition and innovative solutions to RFT for Services worldwide. This position typically works under limited supervision and direction. Incumbents of this position will regularly exercise discretionary and substantial decision-making authority.
**Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:**
+ Provides leadership in development of customer service solutions and proposals including the management of estimating functions and input to parametric models Assists in the development of market intelligence for both local and global opportunities.
+ Provides expertise to translate service requirements into service products architecture design.
+ Identifies the principle sales strategies of competitors to recommend appropriate CTS actions.
+ Makes presentations to customer boards and executives. Surveys the market for solutions, insight and to identify current and future customer requirements, market trends, sector direction, business opportunities, potential partners/acquisitions, and any competition offerings.
+ Acts as visionary and strategist for Service Solution Products to propose solution strategy and initiatives that support business growth.
+ Develops business case for service offerings from the Customers point of view.
+ Collaborates with project and service delivery managers and engineering resources to provision estimates, develop the overall business case and solution implementation plan.
+ Recommends winning service system pricing strategy and pricing model options in collaboration with Account Management, Sales & Marketing, Service Delivery, Operations and Finance.
+ Identifies, evaluates and recommends potential alliances, acquisitions, partners and suppliers.
+ This will be undertaken in collaboration with Procurement, Contracts & Commercials, Legal, Engineering and also the Strategy and Business Development team.
+ Serves as a subject matter expert and leads a team of subject matter experts; consults with relevant internal/external parties regarding CTS service offerings.
+ Builds and maintains repository for deliverables, methodologies, and business development documents.
+ Works with the Global team to develop input to the R&D activities that will have an impact on Service expansion or efficiencies.
+ Assists with Service handover after proposal contract award and during the establishment of the Services organization.
+ Assists with the development and review of global Service processes.
**Minimum Job Requirements:**
Bachelor s degree in Business Management, Marketing or related subject matter plus at least 12 years relevant service delivery and/or service solutions product design experience acquired within the Transportation or IT industries. Must have experience in business planning and general management, including service/system/program management and the demonstrated ability to take ownership of a particular solution offering, thereby shaping, designing, and planning specific service lines in the solution area. Must have proven ability in building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, partners and suppliers (internal and external). Experience in selling services, systems and/or products. Extensive experience in responding to complex RFPs with tight deadlines. Excellent stakeholder management experience (internal and external). Expert knowledge of the public transportation/IT outsourcing sector. Experience with oversight of a customer service center or call center a definite plus.
Excellent organization and time management skills. Must be an accomplished communicator, both written and oral and have excellent presentation skills. Must have excellent business acumen, analytical, negotiation, and strategy development skills. Financial skills highly desirable. Must be self-motivated, creative and have the ability to work closely in a team environment with other departments and individuals at all levels in the organization. Ability to make substantial decisions in line with agreed strategy without supervision. Must also have the ability to work off hours as needed, in-line with customer requirements. Positive attitude with the ability to embrace change. Extensive travel required, both domestic and internationally and sometimes for extended periods of time.
