Community Representatives (CRs) are student advocates, a liaison with host families and students from around the world. They engage directly with community members, leaders, educators and administrators in schools. They build strong relationships with local schools, facilitating the enrollment of our students. Active in their communities, they invite friends, neighbors, and new acquaintances to become host families. This position will give you the opportunity to be actively involved in your community, while making a difference in the lives of youth from around the world. You will work part:time, set your own hours, and earn up to 1000 for each student placed during the academic year.
This is a great work from home position with a great supplemental income and you can also earn incentive trips to exciting places all around the world. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who has an interest in any of the following; Sales, Social Work, Customer Service, Teaching, Languages, Mentoring, Teens, Management, Recruitment, Travel and Cultures.
The basic responsibilities of a Community Representative (CR) include the following:
:Represent Face The World in local high schools, become active in developing space availability for exchange students
:Recruit host families within your community through active marketing and outreach
:Conduct host family interviews, visiting with all family members and assessing the applicants home
:Ensure potential host family will provide a safe and supportive environment for our students
:Provide open, honest communication and guidance to your host families, before and after the students arrive
:Join host families in greeting their students at the airport upon arrival. Participate in student and host family orientations
:Provide support and guidance to students and host families as needed. Be proactive with your students and host families while on the program.
:Become Actively involved in the community with your students to help build bridges of friendship around the world.
:As a student advocate and trusted adult for your students, you maintain contact as required by Face The World policies and complete progress reports on each student.
:Training provided as you will become Dept of State Certified to work with our students and families.
:Have fun and promote cultural exchange by planning group and cultural activities, picnics, and gatherings for students and host families in your area

Face the World (FTW) is designed to provide excellent educational opportunities and an intensive cross:cultural experience to select international students that will expand their normal scope of world understanding. FTW is designated by the U. S. Department of State to sponsor students on a J:1 visa. Our cultural exchange programs are also endorsed by the Council on Standards for International Educational Travel (CSIET).
We offer Semester and Academic Year programs for full:time study in an American high school to students between the ages of 15 and 18. Students are placed in high schools across the country. Each student lives with a carefully selected volunteer Host Family and is supported by the Community Representative assigned to that community. All students are provided with medical coverage, emergency assistance through our 24:hour Emergency Hotline, and direct communication with the overseas sponsor and natural family.
