THE PROGRAM GPS Services provide professional mental health assessments related to educationally-related concerns for public school special education students K - 12. Referrals are generated via our contracted school districts. GPS provides assessment services to a significant number of San Diego County Districts. THE POSITION The Assessor works with GPS Director, Assessment Coordinator, and Administrative Assistant to provide in-house Special Education (ERMHS) Assessments. Duties include: Travel to SD District School sites to observe students in classroom settings, review academic and school-based MH service records Travel to home of student's parent to complete parent/family interview. Complete Assessment reports. Attend IEP meeting to present Assessment reports. Other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS Licensed, LMFT, LCSW, Psychiatrist Experience preferred in special education counseling, assessment, IEP processes, and mental health treatment modalities therein. Must be familiar with psycho educational testing data, and instruments. Must be familiar with diagnostic inventories, surveys, instruments. HOURS 20 hours per week PAY $26 - $28.50 per hour BENEFITS This position receives sick leave, paid holidays, and employer-paid pension.
