Oaks North Community Center is an age restricted master planned community located in the Rancho Bernardo neighborhood of San Diego. The Community Center provides recreational activities for a 55+ community complete with swimming pool, spa, locker rooms, library, woodshop, ceramics room, lawn bowling, pickle ball, tennis court and more. The Center also provides Architectural oversight for 9 sub-associations as well as age verification enforcement and code compliance notifications. Oaks North is a self-managed community.

Responsible for providing the overall leadership and management for Oaks North Community Center. Key job responsibilities include planning administration, human resource management, project management, public relations, financial management, productivity and quality control, governing documents code compliance and administrative management. Reports to the Board of Directors.

Duties include:
· Attendance at all Board Meetings and Committee Meetings as requested
· Daily HR duties and management for staff of 5 full-time employees and 2 part-time employees
· Payroll reporting and record keeping for staff
· Oversight of the annual collection of dues in conjunction with an off-site accounting firm
· Regular monitoring of bank accounts to ensure adequate operating funds while maintaining FDIC limits
· Annual budget preparation with a Finance Committee
· Weekly review, budget coding and approval of invoices
· Ensure receipt of lease and profit share payments for two cell tower leases
· Review of delinquent accounts and provide recommendations to the Board of Directors
· Ensure member compliance with Federal and State age regulations to maintain the community's 55+ status
· Solicitation of bids for services and large projects as directed by the Board of Directors

Education and Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in HOA business management and financial oversight. A minimum of 5 years of experience in personnel management including hiring, supervision, evaluation and benefits administration. A minimum of 3 years of experience working with board of directors and/or committees. College graduate or equivalent experience. Demonstrated ability to work with residents/members. Demonstrated ability to manage and supervise a staff team. Effective problem solving and mediation skills. Proven ability to cope with conflict, stress and crisis situations. Effective knowledge of Davis-Stirling common interest laws and statutes.

Special Training and Skills:
Thorough knowledge of common interest community business legal requirements and operations. Strong leadership and communication skills. Excellent computer skills.
