The HR Assistant will provide comprehensive HR support to the HR team located at the Autonomous Design Center of Excellence in San Diego, CA. Some responsibilities are of a general administrative nature, to include: scheduling, planning and coordinating meetings via MS Outlook, arranging travel, and preparing expense reports. The primary duties will be to serve as a resource for our client groups, leaders, and employees on human resources matters. HR policy interpretation, HR Service Center referrals and HR system (PeopleSoft) database queries and report development/execution will be required. The position requires analytical skills to determine requirements, data accuracy and formatting of reports and charts. The selected candidate may also be asked to lead and/or work on a variety of HR related projects including succession planning, executive compensation, employee relations, talent management, and other HR duties. Projects require detail orientation, accuracy, ability to understand the process, meet deadlines, and be willing to do a wide range of tasks. Responsibilities also include creation of presentation/briefings using PowerPoint with imported charts from Excel and other software. The position requires analytical skills to determine requirements, data accuracy and formatting of reports and charts.
Must be a self-starter, demonstrate resourcefulness, excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills and ability to prioritize a changing workload. Ability to be a team player is essential, as well as flexibility and adaptability. Position requires diplomacy, discernment, discretion and confidentiality with all levels of employees interface.
