Job Description:/h3:
Main responsibilities
:Manage business development and sales activities for North America including the activities covered by Abzena and all Affiliates where relevant to achieve revenue goals. These include specific Abzena capabilities such as biologics development and manufacture of material for clinical trials, as well as Abzena capabilities such as protein engineering, cell line development, immunology services, bioanalytical and bioassay services and conjugation. Activities to include
:Identifying new leads and opportunities for all business units
: Generating proposals for leads identified, with appropriate input from other business units, where required, and negotiating and closing deals relating thereto with appropriate input from Legal where required.
:Building relationships and partnerships with third parties who are using any of Abzenas services or technologies to maximise commercial opportunities
:Review of marketing plans and materials relevant to operations
:Presenting the company and its technologies at both technical and business based meetings and conferences
:To identify opportunities for strategic relationships with academic and commercial organisations to embed Abzenas capabilities as primary service and technology provider
:Develop plans for selling activities associated with responsibilities highlighted above
:Technology and service evaluation on an as needs basis
Other responsibilities
:To identify market led opportunities to extend Abzenas service offerings and to ensure that the current offerings remain competitive
:To keep up to date with competitor technologies and internally disseminate their strengths and weaknesses, development status and company relationships
:Understand and assist with cross:selling of other in:house service and technology areas as required
:Assist CBO and Business Development to generate accurate sales forecasts
:Interact with other members of the BD/Commercial function to maximise potential both within and out with Abzena
:Work with current contact management system, Salesforce
:Provide input into optimizing ways of working to ensure it is undertaking in the most efficient and effective manner.
General Responsibilities:

:Adhere to quality standards set by regulations, and Abzena policies, procedures and mission.
:Communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues and subordinates.
:Commitment to team effort and willingness to assist in unrelated job areas when called upon
:Provide administrative leadership and provide knowledge:based expertise in related areas that can be applied to meeting strategic goals
:Travel as needed, approximately +50, for customer visits, conferences, company meetings

Qualifications/Skills Required:
Minimum 5 years demonstrated successful CMO sales experience
BS degree
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Experience with CRM, Microsoft Office suite software
Experience delivering on forecasts and ability to negotiate high value contracts to close
