# Job Description
**Role Description:** The Sr\\. Technical Product Manager has strategic management of the Alaris infusion system s wireless network communication server \\(hardware and software\\) and integration engine solutions, as well as networked products that are integrated into healthcare information systems\\. This position will have both upstream and downstream marketing responsibilities, owning the full technology lifecycle for IT solutions and driving the launch of new products, applications and services across the portfolio and with adjacent businesses\\.
+ Serve as technical subject matter expert supporting wireless network capabilities of the Alaris System, server and network connectivity components\\.
+ Manage and execute on all aspects of the product lifecycle from business case to end\\-of\\-life\\.
+ Demonstrates in\\-depth experience, knowledge and skills in product management and the product development process including business case development, customer research, concept development, usability studies and use case development\\.
+ Prioritize R&D activities based on voice of customer, competitive assessment and anticipated market trends\\.
+ Assess financial implications, including profitability and viability, for complex product/market portfolios or segments\\.
+ Enable effective sales communication of the value proposition that the solution delivers\\. Develop the sales tools and training to support product programs and messaging\\. Provide market intelligence to sales, be the expert on your customer\\.
+ Develop communication tools such as collateral, web, advertising, etc\\. to support assigned products\\. Partner with account manager\\(s\\) on execution of projects requiring design support \\(collateral, videos, website, etc\\.\\)\\.
+ Proven ability to influence cross\\-functional teams/members without formal authority\\.
+ Participate on cross\\-functional teams with members in sales, manufacturing, field operations, R&D, quality, regulatory, clinical, marketing and user experience design to achieve economic success\\.
+ Monitor emerging trends and problems within healthcare market, including macroeconomic, regulatory, compliance, technology and competitive areas\\. Distills them to product impact and communicates them concisely to the business\\.
+ Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills related to interfacing and establishing relationships with customers and key influencers to ensure that marketing decisions are customer\\-driven\\.
+ Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, or Technical Discipline required\\.
+ 5\\+ years experience in medical device or healthcare technology product management; enterprise software development experience preferred\\.
+ A knowledge or understanding of enterprise IT services \\(network, servers, and application technologies\\), web applications, interfaces, and HIS/EHR systems\\.
+ Proficiency in contemporary operating systems, advanced networking, and product security concepts\\.
+ Competency with working in FDA, regulated environment for product development process\\.
+ Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Advanced verbal, written and presentation/communications skills\\.
+ Strong organizational, leadership and interpersonal skills\\.
+ Personal characteristics: detail\\-oriented, critical thinker, self\\-motivated, enthusiastic, resourceful, self\\-aware, customer\\-focused, interested in professional development/career progression, personable\\.
