Position Summary:

The Student Inquiry Coordinator position is a full-time position within the Student Inquiry Center (call center). This position's responsibility is to determine if a potential student's capabilities, desires, and motivation are suitable to begin the enrollment process. This position is accountable for creating a positive first time impression with all potential students over the phone. The Student Inquiry Coordinator works collaboratively with their peers, manager, and other coworkers to ensure the objectives of the University and Bridgepoint Education are achieved.

Essential Job Duties:

* Proactively contact prospective students to ensure the service levels and key performance indicators are met or exceeded.

* Follow procedures, scripts, and call tracks to meet the expected results while ensuring a warm and personable relationship is being developed.

* Communicate ideas for policy and procedure improvements to create greater efficiency and enhancement of the student experience.

* Understand and support the University's mission and total enrollment objectives.

* Compliance with all internal and external regulatory policies and procedures.

* Develop rapport and constructive working relationships with all internal and external customers.

* Management of student information system data integrity and security.

* Correspondence with all affected parties regarding student admissions.

* Regular, reliable attendance.

Additional Job Duties (include but are not limited to):

* Interpret and communicate University policies and procedures accurately.

* Effectively communicate and report as required or requested with management.

* Exercise independent judgment and effective critical thinking skills.

* Additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

* Ability to work a Monday -- Friday shift with 2-3 weekend days per month.

* Proficient in Microsoft Office Word , Excel , Outlook , and PowerPoint applications.

* Demonstrated effective critical thinking, decision making, and oral/written communication skills.

* Complete discretion and confidentiality in handling of all business relations.

Preferred Qualifications:

* One (1) year of customer service, high volume call center, public contact related professional experience required (preferably in an outbound call center environment)

* Multi-line/call center phone experience strongly preferred (predictive auto-dialer experience).

Education:

* BA/ BS degree strongly preferred; minimum of 30 college units from a regionally or approved nationally accredited institution is required.
