University Representative

University of St Augustine

The mission of the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences is the development of professional health care practitioners through innovative, individualized, and quality classroom, clinical and distance education. The University also has a long history of providing continuing education seminars and certifications throughout the United States and abroad. At this time the University is recruiting for a University Representative.

The University Representative reports to the Manager of Field Recruitment and is responsible for recruiting qualified students for the University of St Augustine for Health Sciences programs. The University Representative is responsible for planning and implementing all regional recruitment efforts for USAHS within a specified geography and will support the overall marketing and admissions strategic plan for UHAHS.

The successful candidate will have thorough and first-hand understanding of the professional development and advanced graduate needs of potential students, as well as familiarity with the rapidly changing dynamics of the marketplace. The University Representative will be the regional representative for the University. In that role, the University Representative must have exceptional presentation, communication and organizational skills, as well as an obvious and infectious passion for the professional development of potential students and the value of higher education.

The University Representative will be expected to conduct 10-15 on campus or in field activities per month, including--but not limited to--information sessions, visits to undergraduate institutions, and in-service programs. They will actively publicize and market UHAHS within a specific geography by attending local, regional and national conferences and events, and participating in relevant activities in local communities. The University Representative will work with the Marketing and Admissions teams, coordinating invitations, room setup, registrations, and materials for each session. As a team player will work corporately with other University Representatives to plan appropriate and strategic recruitment efforts for all of USAHS' degree programs.

Building relationships with current students as well as alumni to identify new group potential and new opportunities to present UHAHS programs, residencies and fellowships; understanding and presenting USAHS' programs and other related degree program offerings to potential students; and maintaining current and thorough knowledge of all USAHS degree programs, and the regulatory, operational and pedagogical complexities of the education industry are essential functions for success in this role.

External Requirements

* Bachelor's degree required, with a background in education strongly preferred.

* Must have 2-5 years' experience in education related field.

* Demonstrated success in sales is highly desirable.

* Must have truly exceptional presentation skills, and must be capable of delivering persuasive presentations to both small and large groups.

* Must be extremely well-organized and attentive to detail.

* The successful candidate will work well under pressure and will be eager to succeed in a competitive, results-oriented environment.

* Significant regional travel (60% or greater) is required.

* Ability to work independently and self-direct daily activities is essential.

* Strong written and verbal communication skills are important, as is familiarity with technology and mediated communication.
