Analyze and prequalify applicant information to determine viability of the client's desired loan program.
Pull credit, analyze credit, and compare for accuracy with the mortgage borrower's statements.
Provide guidance and information relevant to the risks and benefits of each program the applicant is qualified for; effectively explain and communicate the terms of each product and ensure all documents necessary are signed by the borrower.
Gather all initial documentation required disclosures, based upon the applicant's selected loan program
Essential Knowledge, Skills, Licenses:
National NMLS and California required
1 Year of Mortgage Origination Experience
Intermediate to advance experience with DataTrac and Point
Applicants with Less than 1 year experience considered on a case by case basis
Current officers given strong consideration regardless of experience
Multi-Lingual capabilities to include Spanish are a plus
The ability to create, implement and adapt a market penetration strategy for lead development, prospect to client conversion, and client to close conversion also a plus

Within HP's Intellectual Property Licensing Group, the Director, Intellectual Property Licensing works with a broad cross section of engineering, business, finance, and high level legal professionals, both within and outside HP to structure and craft operational plans for the monetization of select HP IP portfolios with third party patent commercialization partners and privateers. This requires the Director of Intellectual Licensing to be well versed in IP third party monetization models to advantage HP's participation of select IP monetization engagements. Familiarity with IP monetization business models including; Patent Licensing and Enforcement Companies (PLEC's), Privateers, Institutional IP aggregators/Acquisition Funds, IP Brokers, Licensing Agents, IP Brokers, IP-Based M&A Firms, Patent Pools, IP Auction Houses and IP Exchanges. The Director Intellectual Property Licensing also develops go to market licensing business models, collateral and validation of market opportunities in support of identifying, developing and closing IP licensing deals that realize the best value for HP's Intellectual Property (IP) assets. The Director will work with various HP Business Units, to develop a comprehensive monetization strategy and programs to support and complement HP's Business Units.
Responsibilities:
* Liaise with senior leadership to discern, craft, and help execute strategic initiatives involving intellectual property (patents, brand, copyright, etc) as an important component.
* Develop and advocate for licensing initiatives that constitute strategic engagements for HP business units.
* Manage all aspects of technology, brand and patent licensing program life cycles, from opportunity identification to closing value-added, critical licensing deals for HP.
* Gather information regarding corporate structures, industry alliances, and customer relationships of candidate licensees. Comprehend and interpret financial, marketing, competitive intelligence and other business information, including understanding the candidate licensee''s business strategies, decision making processes/hierarchies, as well as the personalities and motivations of decision-makers and deal negotiators.
* Research information relating to the products and services of candidate licensees to determine the applicability of HP''s IP, brand, and technologies to the candidate''s product road map - information that would help HP understand how the candidate licensees might respond to valuing HP''s offer of license.
* Comprehend a potential monetization partners models in application of HP's IP to advantage HP's IP value.
* Marshal internal HP resources (technical, business, legal) from various organizations to lead or participate in virtual teams doing strategic IP-involved deals including acquisitions, cross-licenses, trademark use and divestments.
* Effectively negotiate with business and legal leaders of third parties for profitable closure of monetization engagements.

* 10 years' business development team leader experience and proven track record in pursuing and closing deals, including motions involving intellectual property.
* Experienced in closing complex IP monetization programs for fortune 500 companies and/or third party IP entities (NPEs).
* Experience in enterprise services and system management business development.
* An ability to communicate complex deal architectures and value propositions at all management levels.
