As Vice President, you'll advise on all aspects of large-scale privatization or other public sector projects, including property management, development, construction, finance and legal document review. Mostly, you will be actively managing existing client relationships, being involved in marketing and selling real estate services and leading client engagements to seek new business opportunities and identify areas for growth for integrated service approaches where appropriate. In this role, you will manage all aspects of client delivery and advisory engagements, including coordination and oversight of work performed by other Company business units and third-party subcontracted service providers as well as prepare proposals and presentations in response to requests for qualifications (RFQ) / requests for proposals (RFP) on behalf of the firm. Also, you will be review and analyze legal documents, financial reports, and operating plans as part of the due diligence process, negotiations, and/or ongoing portfolio management as well as develop sophisticated pro forma financial models based on analysis of economic, demographic and real estate market data.Responsibilities You'll act as a subject matter expert; you are expected to contribute as a key member of client facing teams to develop, implement and manage projects vary greatly in subject and complexity - the group's areas of expertise include: Real estate strategy Highest and best use studies Financial and strategic feasibility analysis Portfolio planning Development advisory and oversight, including large-scale, mixed-used development and re-development Transaction Management (Acquisitions/Dispositions/Sale-Leaseback/Enhanced-Use Leasing) Analysis of financing / ownership structures Asset and portfolio management Public-private partnerships Public Sector Real Estate experience a plus - Federal, State, Local governments, Transit Authorities and Higher Education Requirements A Bachelor's degree in finance, real estate or related field; MBA/Masters RE preferred; also along with at least 7+ years' experience in commercial real estate. Leadership experience on real estate advisory assignments and experience with real estate feasibility and economic impact analysis is highly valuable. You'll need to be dynamic and inspired about project management and strategic consulting. You will be successful if you have proven, strong consultative, presentation, and facilitation skills as well as exceptional client relationship management skills. This position requires someone who has persuasive oral presentation and group facilitation skills while having the ability to effectively promote and articulate concepts. You will also provide internal leadership and contribute to growth and differentiation of firm by developing industry leading WS capabilities and thought leadership; communicate this by authoring articles and speaking at various industry forums and Company client events. Excellent communication skills are important - both written and spoken - and we'll expect you to work independently, multi-task, and manage your time to meet deadlines. An individual with strong interpersonal skills with an ability to interact with executive level external and internal clients will successful in the role. Most importantly, you'll want to work as part of a diverse supportive and talented team. This position will partner with external parties (eg think tanks, educational institutions, architects, etc.) to ensure we stay on top of cutting-edge workplace trends; you will need to work on the go as the role will require 40-50% travel on the west coast.
