Job Description

The qualified candidate for the Account Manager position will have long-term career goals in Meeting and Event Management with the intent of growing their accounts business while managing the Project Managers as it pertains to their accounts. They will be equipped with extensive project management experience as well as motivated to consult strategically with clients to promote Unbridled’s services, develop business within the client account, and expand Unbridled’s exposure to other new business. They should be extremely self-motivated, driven, committed, and a dedicated team player. The ideal candidate enjoys relationship building, entertaining and overall client well-being. They should be able to think big picture, be creative and strategize not only with the clients, but with the internal teams to expand business. They should be confident and outgoing and adaptable to various situations.

We are looking for someone with a can-do, positive attitude that works well with teams at all levels and is willing to do whatever it takes to create a successful program and partnership.

Job Responsibilities

Develop and maintain strategic client relationships
Ensure client well-being
Develop account standards and processes
Grow account business and actively participate in renewals
Generate new leads within account for sales
Participate in proposal development, writing, sourcing, etc. on both existing business and potential new business for account team.
Ensure quality performance of Project Managers assigned to specific projects
Communication with clients at all levels of the organizations, written and conversational
Lead Planner for 2-3 programs per year
Conduct site visits
Financial Responsibilities
Budget creation
Budget accuracy and integrity
Participate in program reconciliation
Proficiency in on-line registration process and website development
Online Resume integrity and accuracy
On-site staffing, maintaining standards of service and image

Basic Qualifications

5+ years of Meeting or Event Planning experience to include:
Hotel sourcing and contract negotiation
Menu and décor planning
Attendee registration
Attendee registration
Rooming list management
Transportation/Manifest management
Production knowledge
Various Vendor management
Proposal review and contracting
Presentation skills
On-site operation knowledge including staff management
Budgeting and financial management
Keen attention to details
Industry-related experience: Hotel, Destination Management, Travel Director, Production
Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook
Advanced professional business communication skills - written, presentation, client contact
Ability to manage a small team of employees and oversee teams on larger or complex client-specific projects
Must embody the Unbridled brand and culture: character, change, credibility, and community
Ability to travel 5-7 days per month (on average), actual travel varies based on client requirements

Preferred Qualifications


Cvent (or similar attendee management software) Certification
Industry Certification such as CMP, HMCC, etc.
Industry Affiliations (MPI, PCMA, SITE, others)
International Meeting Planning or Travel Experience
