Jun 12 2017 Social Media Specialist
Job Purpose: Implement the company’s social media strategies across current and emerging social media platforms, including, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube, blogs, apps, etc.

Job Summary: Responsible for planning, implementing and measuring social media marketing efforts on a day-to-day basis, including management of social media communities, managing paid social media campaigns, creating a content calendar consistent with the company’s overall Content Marketing calendar/strategy, growing online communities, fostering community engagement, writing, communicating, sharing content, and tracking/reporting results.

Responsibilities & Duties: (Additional Duties May Be Added As Needed)
• Handles day-to-day activities on social sites such as Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, blogs, etc. within the guidelines of the company.
• Writes and reviews search-optimized copy for postings, blogs, as well as timely and authentic responses to comments, questions or concerns.
• Develops, schedules and implements social media campaigns, obtaining the necessary approvals before posting
• Maintains a content calendar for various social media sites and blogs. Works with the Marketing team and other departments to produce content
• Manages paid social media campaigns; tracks and adjusts spends and makes recommendations on most effective opportunities.
• Develops community engagement through content sharing, encouraging conversations, polls, newsletters and other tactics
• Establishes relationships with online communities through consistent communication, and identifies key influencers that fit with the company’s strategy. Leverages influencers as advocates for various marketing campaigns.
• Identifies, evaluates and monitors social media channels, emerging trends, and stays abreast of social media best practices. Provides recommendations for campaign optimization
• Captures relevant user-generated content and survey results from social media sites and integrates these with Marketing team processes.
• Implements advertising and marketing campaigns across social media sites.
• Tracks, monitors and reports statistics and results on social media activities.

• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
• Demonstrated knowledge of social media channels, Google Analytics and Facebook Insights.
• Proficient using current social media tools, such as Hootsuite, Review Tracker, Tailwind, TweetBeam, etc.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to write blogs, postings, captions, handle editing and proofreading
• Detail oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
• Comfortable in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
• Solid problem solving and conflict resolution skills
• Willing to monitor social media channels during non-traditional office hours

Education and/or Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing or Digital Media.
• 2+ years’ experience managing social media campaigns

Attending Events:
• Part of the job responsibilities for this position may require the employee to attend and assist at Company events throughout the year. The position may require travel to locations within the United States or Canada, assisting and working under the direction of the Events Department at the events, working extended hours immediately prior to, during and after the days of an event and interacting with Company clients and event invitees. The Servant Leader is expected to represent the Company in a favorable light before, during and after each event.
