Mechanical Machine Design Engineer
Compensation: Competitive Base Salary, Bonus

:Designs and details mechanical components, systems, and complete machines under the guidance of engineering management. Responsible for the integrity, quality, and proper operation of designs from concept through manufacture, assembly, test, and field installation.
:3D CAD based design (Solidworks), detail drawings, prototype build, BOMs, assembly instructions, customer and vendor interaction, user manuals, spare parts lists, and engineering change orders.
:We are seeking a productive, experienced mechanical design engineer who is creative and has excellent, insightful problem:solving abilities.
:Function as a mechanical design engineer for custom automated assembly
:Responsible for the accuracy of designs and the quality of the final detailed part drawings.
:Create parts, assemblies and detail drawings under the direction of project engineers.
:Maintains accuracy of machine documentation necessary for manufacturing release. This includes but is not limited to: Bills of Material, Part Drawings, Assembly Drawings, Schematics (Air, Lube, Drive, Hydraulic) and Layout Drawings.
:Provide engineering technical support for assembly and debug of machinery.
:Work with the production department to develop and improve manufacturing processes.
:Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
:Education : Bachelors Degree or higher within technical field preferred (BSME/MSME) or 2:3 years equivalent years of experience in the design of automated assembly equipment.
:Three (3) or more years of demonstrated successful design of mechanisms, machines, equipment, etc.
:The successful candidate will show a track record of design:to:schedule and team:oriented design skills, as well as a basic knowledge of industry best practices, tools and technologies.
:Must have a what ever it takes attitude to get assigned tasks completed accurately and on time.
:Must be capable of designing mechanisms and machine components from sketches or verbal concepts.
:A working knowledge of common machine shop techniques is required.
:Must have a thorough knowledge of drafting principles per ANSI:Y14.5 and MIL:STD:100 including dimensioning and tolerancing.
:Must be proficient in SolidWorks 2013 or later.
:Knowledge in the use of electrical devices (i.e. sensors, switches, load cells, servo motors, DC motors and drives, LVDTs, etc.).
:Skilled in the application and implementation of pneumatic actuators, solenoid valves, vacuum generators, etc.
:Must be capable of taking direction and following through with assigned tasks.
:Knowledge of continuous:motion systems is a plus
:Practical skills in troubleshooting and general problem solving.
:Able to work with other engineers, designers and drafters in a project environment. May be responsible for work of designers, designer drafters, and detailers in the work group.
:Prior industry knowledge and the ability to adapt quickly to changing environments.
:Must possess good written and verbal communications skills and work well within a dynamic professional team.
